Ms. Scott’s responsibilities have also included Class-A office and medical office buildings and she spent several years overseeing property and lease administration for a national, publicly traded retailer.  Her experience further includes development; having managed multiple assets through major redevelopment, completion of new construction through opening of a regional enclosed mall and full responsibility for management of entitlements, development and construction of a sensitive high-profile retail project involving multiple governmental agencies.  Additionally, she has been very involved in the due diligence process pertaining to acquisitions, dispositions, and financing.

Since joining NAS in 2011, Carol has played an integral role in each of the portfolio’s numerous sale and refinance transactions, and more recently the acquisitions of several assets by NAS Investment Solutions.  She appreciates the opportunity to work closely with everyone at NAS and to work directly with clients on issues occasionally requiring specific attention.

Prior to joining NAS, Ms. Scott was General Manager in the Riverside, CA office of The Westminster Funds, overseeing their local management, leasing, and development activities.  Previously, she held positions with The Festival Companies, GMS Realty, West Coast Liquidators, two private investor held firms, and The Center Companies.  Carol first became acquainted with Karen Kennedy in 1991 through a landlord/tenant relationship, and later worked closely with Karen at The Festival Companies.

Ms. Scott holds a BS in Business Administration from Loma Linda University – La Sierra, and she has held the Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) designation from the International Council of Shopping Centers since 1990.

Carol strongly believes that “it takes a village,” and incorporates this mantra into everyday personal life.  She focuses on expending personal resources to improve lives one-on-one, whether mentoring up-and-coming professionals or helping to stabilize the lives of less fortunate members of her community.

Carol thrives on her role in a blended family encompassing 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Carol loves to share numerous personal interests with her family members.  Her favorite pursuits include motorcycles, boating, fishing, and general outdoor activities.  Carol is also an active musician, playing sax in a variety of venues as time permits.
